Aunt Tara can I babysit???
On Sept. 30th & Oct. 1st Makayla had a couple of early release days. She called one night and asked me if she could "babysit" Brooklyn on those afternoons;O) So we of-course picked her up from school and played all afternoon each day!!! Both girls loved it and had some quality cousin time. Don't tell Makayla, but it will probably be awhile though before she can really babysit:)
Gonna cheer for the Colts this weekend...sorry Daddy!
On Thursday, Sept. 24th Grandpa M., Uncle Mark & Uncle Michael (who got to meet Brooklyn for the first time) came to visit for the weekend! On Friday we went to Tempe to Dave & Busters to play in the arcade....which Brooklyn pretty much slept through and Saturday we went shopping at Arizona Mills before all the guys took off for the Diamondbacks game.
Along with Dustin, they are all going to the Cardinals vs. Colts football game on Sunday, Sept. 27th. Who should we root for!?! Well since Grandpa and the Uncles are here Brooklyn is going to be a Colts girl!!! She looked adorable in the outfit from her Grandpa!
My last baby shower!
On Saturday, Sept. 19th Brooklyn had her last baby shower. It was at her Grandma F.'s house and lots of family, my high school friends, their parents and a few special other people came to party and meet Brooklyn. At the shower she received, among other things, lots of cute clothes, a special plate and blanket with her name on it, a radio flyer wagon and a teddy bear that was handmade by Great-Grandma F.
The party was a lot of fun and we really appreciate everything everyone did to help plan and organize the party! Thanks so much to everyone for coming also!
Daddy's last day home and I'm almost a month!
On Monday, Sept. 14th Brooklyn spent the entire day with her Daddy! We all went shopping together and they played all afternoon. Daddy had to return to work on Tuesday, Sept. 15th and we promised to send pictures so that he would miss her a little less each day!
On Wednesday, Sept. 16th Brooklyn was a month old. She has changed so much already and we can't believe how fast time has gone by!

My first bath & another Baby Shower!
Brooklyn had her first real tub-bath on Saturday, Sept. 12th. She was a little unsure about being in the water, but by the time we were done she was a happy and clean baby! I was definitely happy I had some help since she was so squirmy, but we did get a couple of pictures:)
After her bath we went to Zoey's birthday party and then were given another baby shower by the Perrius Family! This shower included several of our friends from our days in the ASU Marching Band, as well as some of Dustin's work friends. She received lots of cute clothes, blankets, her first baby doll and a really neat Pooh cross-stitch picture for her bedroom. Thanks so much everyone!
Brooklyn had a great time at the birthday party and we were happy to introduce her to so many friends! The kids were so sweet with her and had a great time trying to entertain and hold her!
We would like to thank the Perrius Family for having Brooklyn's shower for us! Especially on the same day as Zoey's party and at the last minute!!! We really appreciate it and had a great time with everyone!

Heading home...
On Tuesday, September 8th we headed back to Arizona. We were sad to leave everyone, but were really happy to be heading home to our own beds and start some normal routines with Brooklyn. We decided to take a different route home (which was much quicker) and stop at 'Dorothy's House' for a tour before we headed out of Kansas. As we arrived we realized it wasn't quite what we expected, but we were able to get Brooklyn a stuffed "Toto" and a couple of pictures while we rested. On Wednesday September 9th we arrived back home and pretty much crashed for the rest of the evening!
Kansas "Open House & Shower"
On Sunday, September 6th we had an open house & shower for everyone to meet Brooklyn in Kansas. We would like to thank everyone who helped to organize this at the last minute. Thanks to Aunt Roxie, Aunt Debbie, Jessica, Emily, Tosha & Meredith for all the great food and decorations. Thanks also to Grandma Mahoney & Grandpa Mahoney for finding us a room in Topeka for us to have our party. Brooklyn met many more cousins, on all sides of the family, and it was really fun to see all the little ones together playing and having a great time. We had such a great time with everyone and really appreciate you all being with us and spending your holiday weekend with us!!!
After the shower was over we all changed and went to play mini-golf with Grandma & Grandpa Mahoney, Uncle Mark, Christopher and Jenna! The weather was beautiful and Brooklyn loved riding around outside in her stroller. The competition was stiff, but Dustin won...we think it was a little rigged though since he used to play there all the time;o)
