My first Pumpkin Patch!

On Saturday, Oct 24th we went to a pumpkin patch to get Brooklyn's first pumpkin and take some pictures. We got some wonderful pictures of our little pumpkin! By the time we arrived it was getting pretty dark and it was not well lit, so we decided to go back earlier in the day the following week.

On Monday, Oct. 26th we went to another pumpkin patch with Uncle Corey, Aunt Becky,
Makayla and Conner. We played on the playground, went through the petting zoo, took lots of pictures and went through the giant cornfield maze! Makayla and Conner were doing awesome finding all the targeted places within the maze, but it started getting dark when we were about half-way through and we began getting a little nervous that we would really have to find our way out in the dark with three little ones:0)

On Friday, Oct. 30th we took Brooklyn to the ASUSDMB Alumni practice for the Homecoming game the next day. Here we were able to introduce her to Coach (our Band Director) and several of our marching band friends. We didn't get to stay too long since it was pretty cold out, but we were happy to be able to take her to the place we met and introduce her to the music!

October 19th-23rd

On October 19th Tara went back to work. Fortunately Grandma M. was here to stay with Brooklyn the for the first two weeks back. This allowed Tara to go home to see Brooklyn at lunch time and make the transition back much easier on her. Grandma and Brooklyn spent their days playing (and doing the never-ending laundry) and they seemed to have been having lots of fun.

On October 23rd we went out to dinner for Brooklyn's Grandma F.'s birthday and made plans for the upcoming trips to the pumpkin patch with Uncle Corey, Aunt Becky, Makayla and Conner.

My first ASU tailgate party!

On Saturday, October 17th we took Brooklyn to her first tailgate party at ASU. We stopped at a couple of ASU bookstores along the way and found a "cooler" ASU outfit for her to wear since it was much warmer out than we expected it to be. She was definitely showing her Sun Devil Pride as she was passed around by friends and their girls!

I'm 2 months old!

On Friday, October 16th Brooklyn turned 2 months old. We absolutely can't believe how fast time has flown by, but as you can see we've been pretty busy and haven't had too much down time..

Early in the afternoon Grandma M. came back to Arizona for a visit. She is going to be here for a couple of weeks to stay with Brooklyn as I transition back to work and prepare to send her to a babysitter. We are so happy that she was able to come back and help us out!

My two month doctor visit

On Wednesday, October 14th Brooklyn had her 2 month doctor visit. She weighed 11 lbs. 14 oz. at this visit and is in the 92% for weight. She was also 23 in. long and is in the 89% for height. While she was there she also received some immunizations. I'm not sure if she was quite as upset as her daddy was, but she sure screamed in the car the entire way home (I'm not too sure about Dustin though, he had to go to work)!

After we made it home Brooklyn slept the entire afternoon and I was able to check off several things from my growing "To-Do" list. She woke up a happy little girl with no effects at all of the shots!

Oct. 8-13, 2009

October 8th Brooklyn and I had a great time hanging out with her Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa F. They came over to our house and then we went out to lunch at Ruby Tuesdays with them. Afterwards we stopped at a couple of stores and then we all came home to play for awhile.

October 10th Brooklyn stayed with Grandpa F. while her Grandma F. and I went shopping for awhile. They had a great time and Grandpa took her for a ride in the stroller to get the mail and meet some of the neighbors. Later that evening while we were cooking dinner Brooklyn held her toy rattle for the first time and actually played with it for awhile!

October 11th Uncle Brady and Dana came over to watch football at our house. After the game we all joined Uncle Corey, Aunt Becky and Conner for dinner. Everyone had a great time catching up, even though dinner was quite the experience...

October 13th Brooklyn and I went with Makayla and Aunt Becky to help her Build-A-Bear. This was a birthday gift from Dustin and I so I was excited to join her:) She made a purple Halloween cat with a witch outfit and Becky made Conner a puppy in a soccer uniform!

Oct. 2-5, 2009

On Friday,October 2nd we took Brooklyn to her first carnival at my school with Makayla and Conner. She was really enjoying watching all the people and being out in the fresh air. She was able to meet lots of my friends and then had a slumber party with Makayla and Conner afterwards.

On Saturday, Oct. 3rd we went to watch Conner's soccer game. Too bad I forgot her formula though and we had to leave early (sorry Conner). Later that day we went shopping with Grandma F. and Dana. It was a busy day and we were pooped out when we got home!

Sunday, Oct. 4th Brooklyn and I went to help pick out baby furniture for her soon to be baby cousin! Afterwards we went to Yogurt Jungle to see Sharilynn, but she wasn't there that night...I'm sure we will go back soon though!

Monday, Oct. 5th the weather was beautiful out! We opened all the windows, grilled out back and sat on the porch for quite a while. It was absolutely wonderful to be able to relax as a family and reflect upon the huge changes that happened in our lives in such a short amount of time. Life is good!!!
