On Monday, August 24th Brooklyn had her one week doctor's visit. Since we were still in Las Vegas she had to see the pediatrician whom she saw in the hospital. At her appointment everything went great! She weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and measured 20 inches (hmmm...probably didn't get an accurate length in the hospital since she measured 18 1/2 inches there one week earlier). Since she wasn't back to her birth weight yet the doctor advised us to go for a weight check at the end of the week.
As we were leaving the doctor's office we recieved a phone call from the lawyers letting us know that we were approved to come home to Arizona!!!! We were a little bit surprised at how fast it went, but we couldn't have been happier! We weren't really ready to drive all that way yet since we had just checked out of our "first home" and were planning on going to an extended stay hotel. We had just thrown stuff in the car and were planning on doing laundry that afternoon since we were out of clothes completely. In order to drive home safely we needed to re-pack and re-organize so we decided to stay one more night in Vegas...
