We need your help!

Dear Friends and Family,
As all of you know we’ve been on a roller coaster ride for the past 9+ years as we’ve tried to become parents. Throughout these years we’ve tried to have a baby through infertility treatments and have come close a couple of times, but have not yet succeeded in starting our family. We have now moved on to a new chapter in our journey and as many of you know after completing the paperwork, interviews, reference checks and nursery were certified to adopt in December of 2008! Previous to this time we have had several leads (thanks to you!) for babies to adopt, but unfortunately none of them panned out.
Since being certified to adopt we’ve been trying to save enough money to adopt through a licensed adoption agency, all the while searching for an independent adoption, which is a much cheaper type of adoption. We had put some feelers out online to birthmothers who were due with their babies in late December 2009 and early January 2010, so that we could finish saving the money we needed, but were approached this week by a birthmother who wants us to parent her baby girl! When she contacted us we found out that she is due on August 26, 2009 and that is just 7 weeks away!!!! Crazy how things just happen and pop up!
We couldn’t be more excited and stressed out at this opportunity at the same time! Our biggest concern at this point is that we do not yet have all the money it will take to complete this adoption and bring home this little girl. As difficult as it is for us to do this we are now going to ask for your help. There are a couple of ways you can do this and if you can’t at this time we completely understand. Our financial goal is currently $4,000.
First of all, we are going to be having a “community” style garage sale on August 1, 2009 to try to raise the remainder of the money. What that means is we are looking for anyone who is willing to donate their items for us to sell at the garage sale to contact us as soon as possible at either tanoli@cox.net or 602-318-6122. We will gladly come and pick these items up from you to go towards our fund before July 30th so we have time to price them out! In addition, at the garage sale we are going to be selling magnets that state “I helped someone adopt” for $10 each.
There are several of you who have asked what you can do, but either don’t have items to donate and/or don’t live anywhere near us. We are going to be setting up an account where you can make a monetary donation directly to us if you would like to do so. We will send anyone who makes a donation a magnet to show you our appreciation for your support!
We believe that we can raise the remaining $4,000 we need in this short amount of time with your help! We ask for your continued thoughts, prayers and support as we try to bring this little girl into our family.
